Our Story

ENKI, LLC (ENKI) was born on February 27, 2006 by a brave woman executive from Verizon Wireless. Brave because she had always been a corporate employee and she jumped away from the “mothership” to change the world of consulting forever.

Before ENKI started, we walked in your shoes. We were corporate leaders for Fortune 500 companies with P&L responsibilities and owned the delivery of strategic initiatives and goals. As executives, we were looking for, and couldn’t find, consultants interested in forming a real strategic partnership. A partner that walked in our shoes, could solve real business conundrums, could be a trusted surrogate leader so we could go focus on other efforts, and an honest advisor that imparted knowledge to our team. We didn’t need another dusty report, a bank of MBA analysts fresh out of school, or 100+ developers in some distant country doing whatever, and billing us or that whatever.

Below is a bit more about us, the culture we strive to fulfill everyday and how we conduct ourselves to achieve our mission of changing consulting for the better. Oh, there is also a Manifesto below that opens a window into our view of consulting - enjoy.

Our Core Values

“It is not a slippery slope, it is a cliff.”  At ENKI, our integrity is our brand.  There are no hidden agendas, hidden sales, conflict of interest, or consultants learning how to do the job. We stay true to our word and deliver what we promise.

Integrity

ENKI prides itself on being honest.  Our employees are aware that successes and failures are both learning opportunities.  Our experience has shown that even when there is bad news, it is best to address it early and openly.

Honesty

ENKI trusts our employees to execute their commitments, but we verify with quality reviews.  We trust that you and your team know your business.  We trust our clients in words and actions while we verify with analysis and group sessions.

Trust

ENKI respects the individual, your business, and your culture.  We realize that without respect we will miss critical information that drives our other core values.

Respect

It is a step, not a leap.  We believe that continuous professional learning is the key to sustained success.  Our consultants take time outside of consulting work to explore new areas of interest and to contribute to society in an effort to improve themselves, their surroundings, and your outcomes.

Continuous Improvement

Our Manifesto

Leap of faith?

Ever wonder why parrots are so expensive?  It could be that they are often confused with consultants who just repeat what they hear.

We believe in a better way.  We believe in real experts and real experience.  We believe in trust, integrity, innovation, and the simplicity of execution.

We believe that consultants should focus on the value to your bottom line and should be trusted partners during your most important strategic transformation success.

WOW - you have gone all the way to the end of this page. You are persistent and we like that.

This was updated in September 2023. You may already know that in January of 2022, we transition to new ownership. So, as an introduction, let me share my personal story.

It was 1990 when I first realized that my superpower is my ability to see both the strategic and tactical at the same time, while at Texaco. No matter what environment I am in, I can see the influences of the strategic and tactical work and alignment and what they do to each other in real time.

I first became “aware” of how to use this superpower in 1997 while at AT Kearney.  It was there that I realized that I LOVE FIXING COMPANIES.

When I was the CIO for Aramark’s healthcare and facility business units, I became increasingly disappointed with “consulting firms”. They would bring in a bunch of smart inexperienced people to build powerpoints or to write computer code.

There was no business expert with my ability on the consulting company’s team - in fact I could not find them in any of the firms, and we had them all.  This is when I realized that there had to be a better way to do consulting to help fix companies.  They were all either tactical or strategic but no company could define, design, and help jumpstart the execution.

Hence, the creation and  transformation of ENKI, LLC from a marketing department focused firm when I joined in 2013 to an enterprise transformation powerhouse for companies that need to make transformation happen.

We make the complex simple.  We are your Success Unlocked

We are looking forward to 2024+ with excitement and a larger, more inclusive/diverse team than ever in our history.
